DisMa - Distributed Management of Electricity System
–
The goal of DisMa was to outline solutions for a more distributed management in the electricity network. This spans both electrical engineering and information technology. Regarding information technology, the core concept is microservice architectures, especially with asynchronous message brokers.
My tasks included the following:
- Surveying the suitability technologies for the prototypes
- Guidance of younger researchers in prototype development and publication writing
- Design and development of the prototype of a distributed framework for the execution of service choreographies
- in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University during a research visit in Aachen
Technologies:
- MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport)
- Java
- Python
- Docker
- BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
